Recent Project:
A customer has had a new build 3 story house constructed.
While the house was being built they converted a substantial detached garage into a bedroom, living and office space.
BT located a Fibre point to the garage with the demarcation point near the lower left front.
I'd instructed the electricians to fit an underground conduit from the garage demarcation to the centre of the new house (approx 20 meters), so I can draw a Fibre cable to relocate the ONT, and also an external grade Cat6STP cable so the garage never loses the high speed Internet connection (later to be converted into a Gym).
The main house has 3 Cat6STP LSZH cables run, an office, service room 1st floor, service room 2nd floor. These 3 cables are a data-cable backhaul for a 5 node mesh network (including back to the garage). The whole house, and the annex, now have seamless 900mb Internet throughout.
Although quite an interesting and complex job, I also undertake smaller, and larger, projects. People accidentally cutting through their Internet Cable (copper or fibre) while gardening etc, or a pet thinking the cable is a chew toy. I have some truly interesting calls.
